Join your BOMA OEB colleagues as we explore human resources and DEI. This luncheon will equip non-HR leaders with the knowledge and tools to lead effective Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, ensure compliance with employment laws and implement best practices to eliminate institutional bias.

 

Monthly Luncheon Objectives:

  • Understanding DEI in the workplace
  • Explore the Role of Employment Laws and Compliance in DEI
  • Learn Best Practices for Erasing Institutional Bias and Bias in Hiring
  • Creating and Intentionally Inclusive Culture
  • This workshop will provide leaders with the necessary tools and knowledge to become effective DEI champions, encouraging a more inclusive and equitable workplace.

Bernadette Jones is a co-founder of Visionova HR Consulting. She provides human resource management and consulting services to nonprofits and for-profit organizations. Bernadette has extensive experience across the nonprofit sector, working with organizations in the areas of health, education, arts, small business development and public works. She works directly with nonprofit, philanthropic and for-profit organizations to provide interim HR leadership, day to day consulting and support.
 
Through her 20 plus years of human resource leadership experience, Bernadette supports her client’s vision with “Culture Focused” HR strategies on diversity and inclusion, board-staff relations, crisis management, workplace mediation and conflict resolution, executive coaching, and performance management.

A respected and engaging trainer, Bernadette Jones has developed, and facilitated workshops and seminars on California mandated anti-bullying and sexual harassment training, communication, effective supervision and employee engagement.
