Toy Drive & Adopt a Family

Help create a warm and memorable Holiday Season for those in need.   BOMA Oakland East Bay has been partnering with the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and Shelter Inc. for over 27 years. Each location has a different way of accepting help this year.

Here are the ways:

  1. Shop from the hospital’s Amazon Wish List and ship directly to the departments in the hospital that are most in need.

  2. Donate to the Project Cheer Campaign! We created a team for their Project Cheer fundraiser. Funds raised through this campaign will allow the hospital staff to purchase toys for kids who are in the hospital for the holidays. We include patients and their siblings, so parents have one less worry in difficult times. It costs an average of $50 to provide presents for each family and your donations will go directly toward purchasing these gifts.

Add a little fun to the mix and create a sub-team under BOMA for your building! Select JOIN TEAM under our logo, sign in or create an account, name your team then you will have a separate link to share with your building.

Shelter Inc has created a platform where donors can adopt a family or singles in need. Visit the site to view the profiles, select your family or singles, then purchase, wrap and schedule delivery of your presents to the shelter. See the Roonga link for more details.   SHELTER, Inc. is an independent, charitable, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1986 to alleviate Contra Costa County's homeless crisis.  SHELTER, Inc. strives to realize a vision: rebuilding lives, one family at a time, by giving them a home, the skills, and the resources to live the life they deserve. The mission of SHELTER, Inc. is to prevent and end homelessness for low-income, homeless, and disadvantaged families and individuals by providing housing, services, support, and resources that lead to self-sufficiency.
