According to SFGate, smoke from the Kincade Fire is expected to reach the Bay Area by Friday morning. The National Weather Services predict SFO being impacted as early as 11am. More importantly, we can expect the air quality to be unhealthy over the weekend. If possible, limit your exposure to the smoke. Read on for tips and resources to help you during this time.

- Pay attention to local air quality reports and the US Air Quality Index.
- Pay attention to visibility guidelines if they are available.
- If you are advised to stay indoors, stay indoors and keep indoor air as clean as possible.
- Use an air filter.
- Do not add to indoor pollution.
- Do not rely on dust masks for protection. These masks will not protect your lungs from smoke. An “N95” mask, properly worn, will offer some protection.
