City of Oakland Survey

As part of Phase 2 of the General Plan Update, the City of Oakland has released Oakland for All: Options for How We Stabilize and GrowThis new report explores big-picture ideas for how Oakland could stabilize and grow over the next 20 years – such as choosing where new homes, jobs, parks, and transportation might go.

The Options for How We Stabilize and Grow are three big-picture ideas for how and where Oakland should stabilize (invest in the well-being of current residents and prevent displacement) and grow (plan for new homes, jobs, parks, and transportation in the next 20 years).

It includes a summary background on past and current planning efforts, key data about the City's future, and several big-picture options for what growth might look like. These options are shaped by community priorities and technical research, and the report compares each option across a range of goals and considerations.

Options for How We Stabilize and Grow will be available for public comment from July 30 to September 24.
