CREATE Quarterly Recap - Q1 2025

CREATE debuted its Fellows Online program in January 2025. The online program allows CREATE to reach a wider geographic territory and expanded program awareness across 10 local educational institutions including Chabot College, California State University - East Bay, Diablo Valley College, Dominican University, Menlo College, Ohlone College, Peralta Community College District, and Saint Mary's College of California. The online cohort is diverse in ethnicity, gender, generation, and 60% are first in their family to attend college.  

While these students participate via zoom, the Fellows Online cohort had the opportunity to tour 2100 Franklin Street in Oakland courtesy of Cushman & Wakefield's Karissa Obeso and her property team. Students saw the inner workings of the property from roof to basement, its systems and the various team members it takes to efficiently and effectively operate a commercial real estate asset. For those that couldn't attend in person, CREATE provides a film tour of 100 Pine Street produced a few years ago.
