Bay Area BOMA's Latest Answer to the Industry's Talent Shortage

The Commercial Real Estate Alliance for Tomorrow's Employees (CREATE) funds college-level training to better prepare the employees that you are looking for to fill roles at your companies. The latest iteration of our workforce development efforts are reflected in the Commercial Real Estate Fellows Program classes we're kicking-off at Merritt College on Tuesday, August 28, and at SF State on Wednesday, September 5.  
We owe tremendous gratitude to Kathy Mattes, who has tirelessly led the effort to get the Merritt College program off the ground, and, to prepare for our second year of programming at SF State. Kathy's leadership was absolutely essential and incredibly valuable to getting us to where we are. She was ably assisted by several others who helped with various aspects of program planning, securing instructors, working with college administrators, and screening student applicants.
 
While we have had a number of successes, there is much opportunity ahead. We have many ways for successful professionals (all of you on this email, and others) to give back to the industry from which you derive your livelihood, and to help sustain the commercial property business as a vital part of our communities. If you want to raise your hand, and say “I can help do something”, even if you're uncertain what you can contribute to the effort, Marc Intermaggio, and the BOMA San Francisco Foundation can help get in where you fit in.
