Scholarships for the BOMA International Annual Conference Out Now

The Emerging Professional scholarship and the Michael J. Coleman scholarship are awarded annually to emerging professionals working in commercial real estate to attend BOMA International's Annual Conference and Expo (July 13-16 in Philadelphia). The Emerging Professional scholarship is for registration, airfare and hotel costs, up to $2,500. The Michael J. Coleman scholarship covers registration and $1,000 towards travel expenses! Emerging Professional Scholarship

Eligibility
Only emerging professionals are eligible. An emerging professional is defined as a BOMA Oakland/East Bay member working full-time in commercial real estate whose responsibilities include managing or operating commercial properties and who has seven (7) years or less experience in the industry.
 
Application Process:
 
Please submit the following in PDF format to BOMA Oakland/East Bay no later than March 31.  Please combine all documents into one PDF:
 
1. Cover letter (no more than 2 pages) that includes your full name, contact information, and the following information:
a. Why you are interested in the scholarship
b. Brief description of your career goals
c. What you hope to learn/participate in at the BOMA Conference and Expo and how it will impact your work/career.
 
2. Letter of recommendation from your employer (no more than 1 page) confirming that you meet the definition of young or emerging professional (see eligibility above) and explaining why you are being recommended for the scholarship.
 
3. Letter of recommendation from a BOMA OEB member (no more than 1 page) explaining why you are being recommended for the scholarship.
 
4. Copy of your resume, including education, LinkedIn URL and work history.
 
The pdf packet should be emailed to julie@bomaoeb.org. All applications must be received no later than March 31, 2024.  The applications will be reviewed by the Strategic Planning Workgroup.  The winner will be announced by May 1, 2024.   
 
Other Requirements:
 
The winner is required to attend the entire conference (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday), provide feedback to BOMA OEB leadership, and a 500-word article sharing their experience and takeaways for Horizons.
