Key Takeaways from BOMA 2020

Check out the recap from Henry Chamberlain:

Last week, commercial real estate professionals came together (online) for the first-ever virtual BOMA International Conference & Expo. Throughout the three-day program, participants attended education sessions on a range of hot topics, engaged in lively online chat rooms and perused the virtual exhibit hall, all while gathering valuable insights to help them navigate these unprecedented times. We covered a lot of ground in just a few days, touching on issues like the future of the workplace in a post-pandemic world, health-centric office design and building a more diverse and inclusive industry.

If you tuned in on Day 1 for my 2020 State of the Industry address, you know that each of these issues will play a critical role in moving the commercial real estate industry forward—and that headlines about the “death of the office” are greatly exaggerated. If you missed it (or just want a refresher), I'll be sharing some highlights from my presentation in today's vlog.

You can read more about the research I mention in my presentation in these terrific reports from Gensler and Cushman & Wakefield. And with #BOMA2020 in the rearview, now is the time to mark your calendars for BOMA 2021! Join us next summer in Boston from July 18-21 for a much-anticipated in-person reunion. Check out this video from BOMA/Boston for a preview of what the historic city has to offer and get excited for another great annual conference.
