Learn about the November Ballot Measures

Last week the Oakland Chamber of Commerce held virtual session on the November 2022 election.  The informative presentation by Gail Wallace, League of Women Voters of Oakland, educated the participants about the ten ballot measures that Oakland residents will see on their ballots.  The measures include bond measures, small business taxes, campaign finance reform and many other issues.    
 

Last 2022 Session of Backpack to Briefcase Series

Sign up today for the last of the 2022 Backpack to Briefcase series.  The final session is an HVAC Mechanical Tour where participants will gain basic knowledge of the types of HVAC equipment typical in a commercial building, basics of how the system works and what maintenance is required. This is an interactive approach to understanding these systems by walking around the equipment in small groups with experienced industry professionals.

BOMA Oakland/East Bay is partnering with the Alameda County Community Food Bank to raise much-needed funds to help some of the most vulnerable members of our community with the 2022 Virtual Food Drive. Statewide Flex Alert: Extended through 9/8/2022

The California Independent System Operator (ISO) has extended its statewide Flex Alert, calling for a second consecutive day of voluntary electricity conservation through Thursday, September 8 until 9 p.m., due to continuing extreme temperatures pushing up energy demand and tightening available power supplies.
