Stationary Engineer
$28.32 - $34.77/hour, 40 hour work week

The City of Oakland Public Works Agency seeks an individual to perform the
full scope of building maintenance, including operation, maintenance,
inspection and repair of pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment, climate
control, lighting, electrical and mechanical equipment. The eligibility list
established from this examination may be used to fill other vacancies that
may occur and permanent full-time and permanent part-time positions in this
classification.
Requirements:
Requires equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade and 2
years of journey-level experience in building maintenance OR 4 years of
skilled building maintenance duties working with systems in large building
complexes OR completion of an accredited apprenticeship program in
Stationary Engineering or Navy ACR rating. Technical training in air
conditioning, refrigeration and boilers is desirable.
