CHIEF STATIONARY ENGINEER
(Complex Maintenance Supervisor)
$6,576 - $8,073/month, 40 hour work week

The City of Oakland's Public Works Agency is seeking an individual to direct the operation, maintenance and repair of climate control, electrical, electronic and security systems and allied equipment in City buildings and facilities, as well as supervise Stationary Engineers. Your duties will include assigning, scheduling, supervising and reviewing installations, operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems; designing systems and specifications for new installations and upgrades; ordering materials, parts and supplies; supervising emergency repair; and analyzing costs for modifications and new installations.
Requirements:
Minimum requirements include education equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade and 3 years of progressively responsible experience comparable to a Stationary Engineer in the City of Oakland or 5 years of experience operating and maintaining climate, pneumatic, electrical and electronic control systems, including completion of an apprenticeship program in an accredited trade school. Supervisory skills are desirable.
