Business Development Manager- Gachina Landscape Management

Description:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for cultivating profitable landscape maintenance accounts and long-term client relationships. The position is accountable for all steps in the sales process; lead generation, prospecting and qualification, generate proposal and closing the deal. The Business Development Manager works in partnership with Operations to ensure customer expectations are understood and met. It is essential that the Manager work within the company goals and objectives.

  • Foster a climate of cooperation among Gachina TEAM toward exceeding client expectations & promises delivered
  • Achievement of annual sales goals

Summary of Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop long-term, profitable maintenance clients for the company
  • Partner with Operations to target market key accounts
  • Accountable for the sales process; lead generation, prospecting and qualification, generate proposals/contracts and closing the deal.
  • Ensure client satisfaction with new job starts & check for acceptance during first 90-days
  • Participate in the implementation of the company's public relation and promotion programs; i.e., trade newsletters, contributions, trade shows.
  • Active participation in client trade associations such as B.O.M.A., IFMA, C.A.I. E.C.H.O., Tri County Apartment Association, etc.
  • Partner with Operations in client contract renewal process as needed
  • Utilize client database as prospecting tool
  • Foster client relationships to ensure long-term landscape expectations are met then exceeded
  • Secure Gachina Landscape Management on select bidder lists
  • Assist in the development of annual marketing plan and business development goals in concert with the company's long-term goals

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • BS Degree (or equivalent) or 4 years experience in business development (landscape industry preferred)
  • Ability to develop strong client and employee relationships
  • Accomplished verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to meet critical deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Responsive to client's needs and requests & build customer rapport
  • Computer skills & Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Email
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Self-starter, motivated, energetic and team oriented

Salary:
Commensurate with experience
