During this tour, you will witness some of the complexities of full-building/full-scale demolition and reconstruction. You'll also learn about the challenges of adaptive reuse, as well as "market ready/smart stop". A happy hour will follow the tour at the neighboring bar, Uptown Nightclub.
Formally known as the Sears Building and then Uber Headquarters, this property has been through heavy renovation within the last year, but still holds much of the original characteristics. Uptown Station is 8 stories (of which the top three stories feature roof decks) and has 3 basement levels. The property was originally built in 1929.
Please note, all participants are required to wear closed toes shoes (please avoid high heels) and will need to sign a liability waiver document upon sign-in.
