Join the Codes and Standards Committee in their mid-cycle review of relevant codes (including Title XXIV and fire codes), legislative updates at the state and federal levels, ADA codes, and the BOMA 2017 Office Standards. In addition to an informative panel discussion, there will also be a discussion session and Q&A. Coffee and breakfast will be provided.

Lyn Gomes is the Lead Commissioning Provider and an Assistant Project Manager at kW Engineering. She is certified by the State of California to perform lighting acceptance testing as required by Title 24, and is a lighting control system, HVAC, and building control systems expert.
Hafsa Burt, hb+a Architects
Hafsa brings 19 years of experience in the field of Architecture particularly focused on Green Building. She serves on the Council of Experts at USGBC’s California Chapter on Indoor Air Quality and serves on both AIA California’s Committee on the Environment and USGBC State, focusing on legislative decisions affecting Environmental Sustainability. Her project experience includes Commercial, Institutional, Industrial and mixed-use realms in project size ranging from 2000 square feet to over 2 million square feet and project types ranging from tenant improvements to San Francisco airport.
John Catlett MCP, Director of Codes & Standards, BOMA International
John joined the BOMA Advocacy team November 1, 2017 as Director of Codes and Voluntary Standards. He serves as the staff liaison to the Codes and Voluntary Standards Committee, formulates positions and represents BOMA in code promulgation, and provides consultative services to BOMA members. Catlett is also involved with sustainability and disaster preparedness efforts of the organization.
Catlett is a past President of the Virginia Building and Code Officials Association, receiving their 2006 meritorious service award for his work in code development and education efforts and the 2012 President’s Award for service to the organization and leadership mentoring. He currently serves on the organization’s Past Presidents Council, serves as the Education Committee mentor, and is active in the state and national code change arena for the organization. Click here

Manny Moreno, Next Play Consulting
Manny Moreno has been in the commercial real estate industry for over 18 years. Currently working for Next Play Consulting as Property Manager overseeing the PJMB portfolio with properties in the South Bay and Tri-Valley. Manny was previously the Property Manager at Stoneridge Corporate Plaza in Pleasanton. In 2016, Stoneridge Corporate Plaza won The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award presented by BOMA International. During his time in the industry, Manny has enjoyed a career working with CBRE, PM Realty Group and Shorenstein Realty Services, managing a wide variety of assets in San Francisco and throughout the East Bay.
Manny serves as President of BOMA International’s Pacific Southwest Region, on the Board of Directors for BOMA California, and current Committee Chair for BOMA OEB’s Government Affairs Committee. Manny is a member of BOMA International’s Floor Measurement Standards Committee, and served on the Office Standard Revision Task Force. Manny is also a Past President and former Board member of BOMA OEB.
