Building upon last year's October luncheon on the cannabusiness tenants, "High Occupancy," we're revisiting the subject to stay informed on this new and ever-evolving industry. Bring your appetite and an open mind for another fascinating presentation, "Cannabis Tenants 2.0."

On November 8, 2016, California voters passed Proposition 64, the Adult Use of Marijuana Act, legalizing the personal use of cannabis for adults over 21, and creating a regulatory program for nonmedical cannabis. However, it is up to local cities and counties to determine how they will allow for licenses for commercial cannabis activity which has led to a lot of confusion. We will review what has changed in the last year for Cannabis regulations as well as what the future holds including what is on the horizon for federal regulations. Presented by Pamela Epstein of Eden Enterprises, the program will identify what is allowed under Prop 64 and how different cities are handling marijuana sales and issuing licenses. As a commercial property managers and other CRE proefssionals, learn about how different cities in the Bay Area are handling marijuana sales and issuing licenses for retail stores, issues to consider when leasing to cannabis operators, and how their operations will impact your building.
