proud to offer their joint Standard Method for Measuring Floor Area in
Industrial Buildings. Complimenting BOMA’s market leading office measurement
standard, this new work is designed to fully and fairly account for space in
industrial structures. Providing maximum flexibility, users can choose one of
two dominant methodologies observed in North America—Exterior Wall or Drip Line—
depending on their specific building configuration. This standard also aids with
properly allocating space expenses to end users and enables true comparisons
across structures on
occupancy rates, benchmarking, and cost trending.
