Brown paper towels don't always = Green!

Color does not always reflect a higher “recycled” content or positive Environmental impact.  There are manufacturer’s that make white paper towels that give you the same or better “Environmental Benefits” as brown paper towels.   There are even “white” paper towels that contain 100% recycled material, where as not all brown paper towels are 100% recycled.  The factor that most positively effects the use and life cycle of trees consumed for hand towels is…”reducing the total amount of towels used to dry your hands”.  This is best accomplished by using a paper towel that has good tensile strength, nice softness, and great absorbency.  Best thing your building can do to “Positively Impact the Environment” is reduce the amount of paper towels consumed.
