Alfred 'Tod' McKelvy, Jr. has been the Executive Director of the Law
Firm of Berding & Weil LLP since 1991. He is responsible for administering the day-to-day operation
of the law practice, as well as developing the budget and overseeing the installation of an innovative
computer and communications system at Berding & Weil. Mr. McKelvy has also taken a lead role in
client development along with the firm's participation in local and national trade groups. His active
role with BOMA International has led to a comprehensive endorsement to resolve a major nationwide class
action case. Mr. McKelvy has gone before the National Advisory Counsel in Washington D.C. with such
issues as the "Omega" sprinkler class action. Mr. McKelvy serves on the BOMA East Bay Board
of Directors and BOMA CAL as well as the BOMA CAL PAC Committee. Mr. McKelvy also represents the firm
through the local Chamber of Commerce as well as the Contra Costa Council. He is a member of the Commonwealth
Club. Mr. McKelvy is a Founding Director of Diablo Valley Bank. Mr. McKelvy is also a building owner
and does real estate development in Northern California.
Mr. McKelvy earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Puget Sound in Washington
State and Masters in Business Administration from the College of Notre Dame. His is an ongoing
education with business related course work taken at the University of California at Riverside and
classes in computer science at Stanford University.
