Mr. Rogers is a senior level property manager of real estate with nearly twenty years experience in commercial real estate. His experience has been in the management and leasing of some of the highest profile Class A office buildings in the San Francisco Bay Area. During his tenure, he has been responsible for the management of China Basin Landing, One Market, 60 Spear Street, 301 Howard Street, 188 Embarcadero, 555 California and 123 Mission in San Francisco and Center 21, The Ordway, Lake Merritt Tower, 1901 Harrison, 1333 Broadway, City Center and Preservation Park in Oakland. For the past year, Mr. Rogers has been the General Manager for Brandywine Realty Trust in Oakland, managing a 1M square foot portfolio consisting of 3 office buildings in downtown Oakland (2101 Webster & 2100 Franklin Streets known as Center 21 and1333 Broadway).
Mr. Rogers provides leadership and a hands on approach to the property operations and tenant retention efforts. He brings a depth of knowledge and experience in building operations, construction management, tenant relations, customer service and lease administration. He has a proven track record of generating operating cost reductions and creating value through innovative management programs and value enhancement initiatives.
Mr. Rogers began his career in real estate as a broker with Coldwell Banker in the East Bay where he spent four years in office leasing representing landlords and tenants. His career then took him to City Center in Oakland where he was involved in the management for the owner, Bramalea U.S. Properties and the subsequent receivership by CMA Asset Managers. His tenure in downtown San Francisco Class A office building management spans the past nine years where he was a Senior Property Manager for Equity Office Properties before his appointment to General Manager for McCarthy Cook & Company in 2003 at China Basin Landing. He returned to Oakland in 2005 to work with Prentiss Properties.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with minors in Real Estate and Finance from California State University in Hayward. Mr. Rogers is a Real Property Administrator, a licensed California Real Estate Broker and a Board Member and President Elect of the Building Owners and Managers Association of BOMA Oakland/East Bay. He also spent ten years as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps Reserve where he developed invaluable leadership skills. Don, his wife Lori and their three children live in Martinez.
